As a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Melander specializes in the evaluation and treatment of sports and exercise-related injuries in order to get you back into the game safely and quickly. If surgery is required, Dr. Melander is an expert in arthroscopic, minimally invasive, and open surgical techniques.
An advocate on prevention of sports and exercise-related injuries, Dr. Melander lectures and educates athletes and their families, coaches, athletic trainers, and physical therapists on the most current and cutting edge research available. His lectures include topics such as proper training and equipment techniques, hydration, nutrition and medication, injury prevention, and many more. He has extensive experience in the sports medicine community both personally and professionally and is dedicated to getting you back to the top of your game through efficient diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
